RESCUED FROM THE POWER OF LIONS

THE JEW IN THE COURT OF THE FOREIGN KING
Christians are "aliens and strangers in this world" (1 Pet 2.11; Heb 11.13) with "no abiding city" (Heb 13.14), yet like Jews in the court of foreign kings we must forge a pathway for discipleship and faithfulness in this world, which so often seems at odds with people of faith.

This series of six studies is designed for the six weeks of the Season of Lent and focuses on the literature, the Jewish novels, including the apocryphal stories Susanna and Bel & the Dragon, around the biblical character of Daniel, forced to live wisely and teruphold his ancestral faith in the midst of pagan rule and idolatry.

These studies focus on how to's, lessons drawn from the novels about Daniel and his Jewish friends.

Rescued from the Power of Lions: The Jew in the Court of the Foreign King offers encouragement on how to live faithfully and how to provide wise witness while thriving in a culture which has forgotten God.
